CorporateGIS Innovations Ltd. was incorporated in July of 1993 with a mission statement: to help customers succeed with GIS technology. GIS is an acronym for Geographic Information Systems. The principal, Bob Janowicz, has been working in GIS since 1985. In fact, most of our team has been involved with GIS related technologies since before 1990.
GIS Innovations Ltd flagship product is the Road Atlas of BC. GIS
Innovations has wealth of skill and expertise at integrating and validating GIS
data, especially address and street related data. GIS Innovations also works with a collection
of local consultants in projects related to land and/or environmental planning
studies.
In all of our work, Quality is paramount. Over the years we have developed highly
innovative and effective techniques to normalize, integrate and cross validate
data, as well as processes to track or detect data changes. Currently GIS Innovations is working towards
obtaining ISO
9000 certification
for Road Atlas program with a target date of June 2007.
GIS Innovations, and the
core team members are active in their support of the local GIS Industry. This includes presenting papers at
conferences and user groups meetings, as well as sponsorship and/or membership
in:
·
the Vancouver GIS Users Group
·
URISA
· GIAC
· PMI
GIS Innovations supports students and charities. We provide our Road Atlas data for free to
students working on term projects, thesis or other advanced projects. We will consider requests for free or heavily
discounted Road Atlas data for registered charities. Finally, we donate our used computer
equipment and otherwise support worthwhile charities, such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver.
